- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- medium head cabbage, chopped
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 3/4 c. Jack cheese, shredded
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Butter a casserole dish.

3Fry together ground beef, onion and pepper.

4In a small amount of water, cook cabbage until tender.

5Layer meat mixture and cabbage in casserole.

6Melt butter; stir in flour; cook 2 or 3 minutes.

7Stir in milk and cook, stirring constantly until sauce is smooth and thick.

8Add Jack cheese and pour over casserole.

9Sprinkle with crumbs.

10Bake 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
