Cabbage Casserole

  • 1 can celery soup
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. grated cheese
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 c. corn flakes
  • 5 c. shredded cabbage

Directions

    Melt 1 stick butter in 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Pour melted butter in large mixing bowl.

    Put layer of corn flakes in casserole pan.

    Mix shredded cabbage with melted butter.

    Place on top of corn flakes. Mix soup, milk, onion, mayonnaise and water chestnuts.

    Pour on top of cabbage, then top with grated cheese.

    Crush remainder of corn flakes and spread on top of cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
