Cabbage Casserole

- 1 medium head cabbage
- 1 1/2 green peppers, chopped
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. sharp shredded cheese
- 3/4 c. chopped celery
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1/3 c. bread crumbs
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Shred cabbage and cook in a small amount of water with the green peppers and celery, about 5 minutes in a Dutch oven on top of stove.

2Cook garlic in melted butter.

3Mix the garlic butter mixture in with the vegetables; also stir in the milk, cheese, salt and pepper.

4After mixing, spoon into a 2-quart baking dish.

5Cover with buttered bread crumbs and bake at 300° about 30 minutes. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
