Cabbage Ramen Salad

  • 1 small head cabbage, shredded
  • 2 pkg. Ramen noodles, crushed in pkg.
  • 3 Tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 1 cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 4 oz. slivered almonds
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3/4 c. salad oil
  • 4 Tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Shake the vinegar, oil, sugar, salt and pepper in a jar until sugar dissolves.

    Brown the crushed noodles and sesame seeds in a skillet with a small amount of oil.

    When they begin to brown, add the almonds and brown a bit more, watching almonds as they burn easily.

    Cool this mixture.

    Just before serving, combine all ingredients and toss well.
