- 1 large head cabbage
- 1 lb. ground meat (lean)
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can sauerkraut
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 small can tomatoes
Directions

1Wilt cabbage in large pot of hot water.

2Mix ground meat, rice, egg, salt and pepper.

3Line bottom of pot with the small cabbage leaves.

4Put a large tablespoon of mixture in center of leaves and fold over one end; cover with water and tomato sauce. Simmer over low heat for one hour.

5Put sauerkraut and tomatoes on top of rolls and simmer 45 minutes more.
