- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 lb. sausage
- 2 c. cooked rice
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. minced onion
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 head cabbage
- 2 c. sauerkraut
- 1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
- 1/2 can water
Directions

1Mix meat, rice, egg, onion and seasonings.

2Remove cabbage core and wilt in boiling water for 5 minutes until pliable. Drain and cool slightly.

3Separate leaves and place 2 tablespoons meat mixture on each and roll up.

4Grease 2 1/2-quart casserole and line with extra leaves and sauerkraut.

5Place pigs on top. Cover with soup and water mixture, then rest of cabbage leaves. Cover and bake for 1 hour at 400°.

6May be cooked ahead and re-warmed for later use.
