- 1 egg
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large head cabbage
- 2 large cans sauerkraut
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. rice (uncooked)
Directions

1Core cabbage; place in boiling water.

2Remove leaves as they wilt.

3Mix all other ingredients well.

4Take wilted cabbage leaf and place one tablespoon of meat mixture in leaf.

5Fold one side of leaf over mixture and roll.

6Tuck in other end of leaf gently but firmly.

7When rolls are ready, place one can of sauerkraut in bottom of a large pot, then the rolls and finally add the other can of sauerkraut.

8Add tomato sauce and enough water to cover.

9Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours until done.

10Makes 15 to 20 cabbage rolls.
