  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped fine
  • 1/2 c. rice
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (46 oz.) can tomato juice
  • 1 large head cabbage
  • dash of hot sauce (optional)

Directions

    Place cabbage in boiling water to soften leaves, they work better.

    Mix ingredients together.

    Put mixture on cabbage leaves, roll up and secure with toothpicks and cook in tomato juice about 1 hour on medium heat or until tender.
