- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1 large onion
- 1 c. rice (uncooked)
- 3/4 c. water
- 2 eggs
- oregano to taste
- garlic salt to taste
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large cabbage heads
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 large can sauerkraut
Directions

1Mix first 9 ingredients to make the filling.

2Boil the cabbage until you can peel the leaves from the heads; drain.

3Put spoonful of meat mixture on each leaf.

4Roll

5up, tucking in ends to make neat compact bundles.

6Layer in roasting pan.

7Layer sauerkraut, tomatoes and remaining pieces of cabbage on top of rolls.

8Pour tomato sauce on top.

9Cover and bake at 350° for 2 1/2 hours. Makes about 30 cabbage rolls.

10Leftovers can be frozen.
