  • 3 lb. hamburger
  • 1/4 lb. sausage
  • 2/3 c. rice
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 large cabbage head
  • 1 large can tomato juice

Directions

    Combine hamburger, sausage, onion and cooked rice with salt, pepper and egg.

    Mix and set aside.

    Put can of tomato juice in large kettle and heat.
  4. 4
    Boil cabbage in water until leaves are easy to separate.
  5. 5
    Peel each leaf and fill with meat mixture. Place into tomato juice and boil 45 to 60 minutes.

    (Toothpicks keep the cabbage around the meat mixture.)
