  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 4 1/2 lb. cabbage, shredded
  • 6 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 6 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
  • 6 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes

Directions

    Saute onions and cabbage with margarine for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.

    Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir. Add water, sugar, salt, pepper, lemon juice, caraway seed, bouillon cubes and tomatoes; mix all together.

    Bring to a boil.

    Turn heat down and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

    Serve with corn bread.
