- 2 large onions, chopped
- 4 1/2 lb. cabbage, shredded
- 6 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 6 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
- 6 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
Directions

1Saute onions and cabbage with margarine for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.

2Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir. Add water, sugar, salt, pepper, lemon juice, caraway seed, bouillon cubes and tomatoes; mix all together.

3Bring to a boil.

4Turn heat down and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

5Serve with corn bread.
