- 1 to 2 lb. beef cubes
- soup bones
- 1 cabbage
- 1 medium onion
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- salt to taste
Directions

1Place beef cubes and soup bones in a 4 to 6-quart pot and cover with water.

2Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and cook at a slow boil for 1 hour to make beef stock.

3Then cut up and add cabbage, then add diced onion, tomatoes and tomato sauce, salt and sugar.

4Bring to a boil.

5Cover.

6Reduce heat and cook at a slow boil for 2 hours.
