- 1 lb. beef stew meat, cubed
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 medium head green cabbage
- 3 carrots, cut up
- 3 medium potatoes, cut up
- 1/2 c. tomatoes (canned)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Directions

1Brown meat in small amount of fat.

2Add onion and cook until meat is about half done.

3Cut cabbage in chunks and add with the carrots, tomatoes and potatoes.

4Season to taste with salt, pepper and cayenne.

5Cook, tightly covered; add enough water to cover meat.

6Cook over low heat about 2 hours.
