- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 head cabbage, cored and shredded
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch white pepper
Directions

1Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.

2Add the milk, and cook for about 5 minutes, or until hot.

3Stir in the brown sugar until dissolved.

4Stir in cabbage and onion, and season with salt and white pepper.

5Simmer over medium heat until sauce is creamy, and the onion is tender.
