  • 1 head cabbage (about 1 1/2 lb.)
  • 1 tsp. margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1/2 c. chicken consomme or 1 tsp. chicken instant bouillon dissolved in 1/2 c. water
  • salt to taste if prefer
  • caraway seed

    Remove major section of core from the cabbage.

    Leave just enough to hold the head together.

    Slice the head into wedges about 1 1/2-inches thick.
