  • 1 pound Shrimp, Peeled And Deveined
  • 1 pound Pasta, Cooked Al Dente
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter
  • 1 pint Half-and-half
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 3 Tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 bunch Scallions

    First a couple of notes:

    For the pasta, I use rotini or ziti, but any small pasta will do.

    The measurements for the garlic and Cajun seasonings are merely guidelines.

    You can use more or less to taste.

    This dish works equally well with chicken, sausage and many other seafood components.

    This recipe serves as an excellent base to add in other vegetables as well.

    In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat.

    Chop the scallions.

    Once the butter has melted completely, add in garlic and scallions and saute until just aromatic.

    Add in half-and-half and Cajun seasoning and bring to a simmer.

    Add in shrimp and simmer until sauce thickens somewhat.

    Add in cooked pasta and heat through.

    Serve with a salad and a nice white wine for an excellent meal.
