Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. butter
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. chopped pecans, toasted
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 (4 oz.) bar white chocolate, broken
- 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, divided
- 2 1/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Combine butter and water in medium saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

2Remove from heat.

3Add white chocolate, stirring until chocolate melts.

4Stir in buttermilk, eggs and vanilla; set aside.

5Combine remaining 1/2 cup flour and pecans, stirring to coat; set aside.

6Combine remaining 3 cups flour, sugar and soda in a large mixing bowl.

7Gradually stir in white chocolate mixture.

8Fold in pecan mixture (batter will be thin).

9Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

10Cool in pans on wire racks 10 minutes; remove from pans and let cool completely on wire racks.

11Spread White Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting between layers and on top and sides of cake.

12Store in refrigerator.
