Campfire Potatoes

  • 6 large potatoes, peeled and chopped or sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 3/4 stick butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Place potatoes in center of piece of aluminum foil.

    Sprinkle onion over them.

    Dot with butter and season to taste.

    Seal foil around potatoes.

    Wrap with a second piece of foil.

    Cook directly in campfire or on outdoor grill until tender.

    If not camping, baking may also be done in oven directly on rack at 450° for 40 minutes.
