Ingredients

  • 3 large leeks, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 large garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/3 c. white wine
  • nutmeg
  • grated cheese

Directions

    Heat leeks and butter in pot.

    Add onion and garlic and saute a few minutes.
  3. 3
    Add wine and cook until liquid is gone.

    Add nutmeg. Slice thinly 2 ounces Italian bread.

    (Any party breads or French can be used.)

    Bake on cookie sheet at 425°, finely spread mix on top.

    Sprinkle cheese (Mozzarella, Cheddar, etc.).

    Pop back in oven until melted.

    Excellent addition with soups.
