- 3 c. walnut halves
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Place the walnut halves in a shallow pan; heat in oven at 325° for about 10 minutes.

2Cook the sugar, water, cinnamon and salt to soft ball stage (236°) without stirring.

3Remove from heat.

4Add the vanilla.

5Add nuts; stir gently until all nuts are covered and mixture is creamy.

6Turn out onto a buttered platter.

7Separate nut halves as they cool.
