Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. walnuts
Directions

1In a 2-quart saucepan, stir together the sugar, corn syrup and water.

2Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat, until sugar is dissolved and mixture comes to a boil.

3Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, to 235° on a candy thermometer or until a small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water forms a soft ball. Remove from heat.

4Add vanilla, salt and walnuts; stir until mixture begins to thicken and turns white.

5Pour onto a well-greased cookie sheet and separate into clusters.

6Cool and store in a tightly covered tin box.

7Makes one pound.
