Ingredients

  • 1 lb. vanilla caramels
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 6 crisp medium apples
  • chopped California walnuts

Directions

    Melt caramels in water in double boiler; stir until smooth. Stick wooden skewer into blossom end of each apple; dip apple in caramel syrup, turning until completely coated.

    Add a few drops of water if syrup is too stiff.

    Roll bottom half of each apple in chopped nuts at once.

    Set on waxed paper covered cookie sheet. Chill until coating is firm.
