- 1 c. split or whole brown lentils
- 7-8 c. water
- 1/4 c. uncooked rice
- 1 lg. onion, coarsely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 c. olive oil
Directions

1Rinse and drain lentils.

2Place in pan with water.

3Cook for 15 minutes.

4Add rice.

5Meanwhile while cooking lentils, saute onions in olive oil till golden.
