  • 1 lb. sugar
  • 1/4 lb. Karo light corn syrup

Directions

    Boil sugar and syrup using enough water to dissolve.

    Do not stir anymore.

    Boil to 300°.

    When at 300°, place wood skewers into stem end of bright red apples.
  5. 5
    Dip into the candy syrup, then place on a large, well-greased pan with bottom of apple down. Apples dry in 15 minutes.

    (Set pan of syrup in boiling water and dip after the boil is finished.)
