  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. candy-coated chocolate candies

Directions

    Heat oven to 375°.

    Mix sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla and egg.

    Stir in remaining ingredients.

    Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes.

    Remove from cookie sheet.

    Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
