  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. corn syrup
  • 1 pt. thick cream

Directions

    Put sugar, syrup, butter and 1 cup cream on fire; stir until the mass boils thoroughly.

    Then stir in gradually so as not to stop the boiling.

    Add second cup of cream.

    Cook until thermometer reads 260° or hard ball stage.

    Add vanilla and pour into 8-inch square pan.

    Cool, cut and wrap.
