  • 6 cups sliced and peeled apples
  • 1 cup baking mix, plus
  • 2 tablespoons baking mix, like bisquick
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 20 caramels, cut into quarters
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine or 1/4 cup butter, softened

    Preheat oven to 375.

    Mix apples, 2 TBS baking mix and cinnamon.

    Stir in caramels.

    Spread in ungreased 8x8 pan.

    Mix remaining ingredients together.

    Sprinkle over apples.

    Bake 35-40 minutes til apples are tender and topping is brown.
