Ingredients
- 32 light caramels
- 5 Tbsp. milk
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. oatmeal
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. butter, melted
- 1 c. chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans or other nuts
Directions

1Melt caramels in milk in double boiler.

2Combine all other ingredients except chocolate chips and nuts.

3Press in a 9 x 13-inch pan, reserving a portion of mixture for top.

4Bake 10 minutes at 350°.

5Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on baked crust; pour on caramel mixture.

6Add remaining crumbs and sprinkle nuts on top.

7Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350° until brown. Makes 24 bars.
