- 14 oz. bag caramels (about 50)
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. nuts
- 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
Directions

1Combine caramels and evaporated milk (1/3 cup) and cook over low heat until melted; set aside.

2Mix together cake mix, butter, evaporated milk (1/3 cup) and nuts.

3Stir until dough holds together.

4Put 1/2 of this mixture in a 9 x 13 cake pan.

5Bake at 350° for 6 minutes.

6Add chocolate chips and caramel mixture. Sprinkle remainder of dough on top.

7Bake 15 to 20 minutes more at 350°.
