- 14 oz. pkg. caramels (Kraft)
- 2/3 c. Pet milk (1 small can)
- 1/2 stick butter, melted
- 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 1 c. chopped nuts (pecans)
Directions

1Melt caramels and 1/3 cup Pet milk.

2Set aside but keep warm. Next combine melted butter, 1/3 cup Pet milk, cake mix and nuts (this is very stiff).

3Press half of the cake mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan which has been lightly oiled.

4Bake at 350° for 6 minutes exactly. Remove from oven and sprinkle the package of chocolate chips over the cake. Drizzle the caramel mixture over the chocolate chips and press the remaining cake mix over the caramel.

5Bake this for 16 minutes (no more and no less) at 350°.
