- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
- 1 (18 oz.) pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Directions

1Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch dish.

2Combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.

3Melt in microwave.

4Combine cake mix, margarine, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, nuts and vanilla.

5Spread into pan and bake 12 minutes.

6Remove and pour caramel mix over and sprinkle with chocolate chips.

7Bake 20 minutes or more at 350°. Cool and cut into squares.
