  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 5 qt. popped popcorn

Directions

    Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and cream of tartar in saucepan.

    Boil 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in soda.

    Pour over popcorn and mix well.

    Put on cookie sheet and bake at 250° for one hour.

    Stir every 15 minutes.

    Cool on wax paper.
