- 24 cups popcorn
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 pound margarine (2 sticks)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1/4 tablespoon cream of tartar
Directions

1In 2 1/2 quart pan, put brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine, cream of tartar and salt.

2Boil over medium heat, stirring.

3Boil rapidly for 5 minutes.

4Take off heat, stir in soda quickly.

5Pour over popcorn.

6Bake at 200 degrees on cookie sheets for 1 hour. Stir 2 to 3 times during baking.

7Turn onto wax paper to cool.
