Ingredients
- 1 c. margarine or butter
- 2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 8 qt. popped popcorn (do not air pop)
Directions

1Melt margarine in 2 quart saucepan.

2Add brown sugar, salt, corn syrup and water.

3Heat to boiling.

4Boil for 5 minutes watching carefully so sauce does not boil over.

5Remove from heat and add baking soda; stir well.

6Pour over popped corn and stir until well-coated.

7Place on 2 cookie sheets and bake at 250° for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

8Bake both batches at the same time.

9Take caramel corn off cookie sheets immediately after removing from oven.

10Pour into a large bowl.
