- 9 c. popped popcorn (1/2 c. unpopped)
- 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 6 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Put popcorn in a roasting pan.

2Combine brown sugar, corn syrup and margarine in a 1 1/2-quart saucepan.

3Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils.

4Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, without stirring, for 5 more minutes.

5Remove from heat. Add vanilla and baking soda.

6Stir until mixed.

7Pour mixture over popcorn and gently stir to coat.

8Bake in a 325° oven for 15 minutes; stir.

9Bake another 5 minutes.

10Transfer popcorn to large piece of foil to cool.

11Break into clusters.

12Store tightly covered.
