Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. white corn syrup (Karo)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • pinch of cream of tartar

Directions

    Combine first 4 ingredients and boil for 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients.

    Stir well.

    Pour over 15 to 20 cups of popped corn.

    Put in roaster and bake 1 hour at 250°; stir every 15 minutes.

    Cool.

    Put in an airtight container.
