- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 3 to 5 qt. popped corn
Directions

1Bring sugar, margarine, syrup and salt to a boil in a 2-quart bowl.

2Boil 2 minutes on High in microwave oven.

3Remove from oven. Stir in soda.

4Put corn in large grocery sack without any writing on sack.

5Pour syrup over popcorn.

6Shake and mix well.

7Fold over top of bag and place in microwave on High for 3 1/2 to 4 minutes. Remove bag from oven every 30 seconds and shake.

8Spread caramel corn on waxed paper to cool.

9Store in tightly-covered container. Don't let sack touch oven.

10Watch so won't catch fire.
