- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 24 pitted dates, chopped
- 1/3 c. chopped pecans
- Frosting
Directions

1Cream butter, sugar and egg together until fluffy.

2Mix in vanilla.

3In separate bowl, stir together flour, soda, baking powder and salt.

4Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.

5Stir in dates and nuts.

6Drop by a rounded teaspoonful onto greased baking sheets.

7Bake in a 400° oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

8Remove immediately to wire racks and let cool.

9Spread with frosting. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
