- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. boiling water
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
Directions

1Cook 1/2 cup sugar in electric skillet, stirring constantly until golden brown.

2Slowly add water, remaining sugar, vanilla and 2 tablespoons margarine.

3Boil until all ingredients are dissolved. Mix last 6 ingredients together and drop by tablespoon in boiling liquid.

4Cover and cook for 15 minutes on a medium to low heat. Serve hot or cold.

5Excellent with vanilla ice cream.
