Caramel-Glazed Oranges

- 6 large navel oranges
- 2 tbsp. brandy
- 1 small orange
- 1 c. sugar
Directions

1With vegetable peeler, remove six 3-inch-long strips peel (about 3/4 inch wide each) from oranges.

2Cut strips lengthwise into very thin slivers.

3Cut remaining peel and white pith from oranges.

4Slice oranges into 1/4-inch-thick rounds and place in deep platter, overlapping slices.

5Sprinkle with brandy and orange peel.

6Garnish with orange halves.

7In 10-inch skillet, cook sugar over medium heat until it melts and becomes deep amber in color, stirring to dissolve any lumps.

8Drizzle caramelized sugar over oranges.

9Cover and refrigerate until caramel melts, about 2 hours.
