- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. melted butter
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 14 oz. pkg. light caramels (about 50)
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. nuts
- 1 c. chocolate chips
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch cake pan.

3Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.

4Keep warm. Combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts. Press 1/2 dough into the cake pan.

5Bake at 350° for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust; spread caramel mixture over all.

6Crumble rest of dough over caramel mixture.

7Bake 15 to 20 minutes.

8Cool completely.
