Caramel Nut Pound Cake

- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 lb. box light brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Cream butter, shortening and brown sugar.

2Gradually add white sugar and continue creaming.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.

4Combine baking powder, salt and flour.

5Add shortening with milk to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with flour.

6Add vanilla and nuts.

7Blend well.

8Pour into well greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

9Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours or until done.

10Let cool 15 minutes before removing from pan.
