  • 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 lb. vanilla caramel candies
  • 1 c. chopped pecan meats
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. water

Directions

    Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt and milk in small saucepan; bring to a boil and cook to the soft ball stage (242°), stirring occasionally.

    Remove from heat and stir in butter; cool. Add vanilla and beat and stir in butter.

    Cool.

    Add vanilla and beat until mixture is firm enough to knead.
