- 3 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
- 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Directions

1Mix sugar, flour, egg yolks and milk.

2Let come to a boil in saucepan.

3Pour 1 cup sugar in a skillet and brown.

4Pour in the saucepan mixture into the skillet and cool until thick.

5Add butter.

6Pour into a 9-inch baked pie shell and top with meringue. Brown in a hot oven.
