- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked
Directions

1Cream together butter or margarine, flour, and sugar.

2Slightly beat egg, and add it plus milk to creamed mixture.

3Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Cool, and add vanilla.

4Pour into baked pie crust. Refrigerate. Serve with whipped cream.
