- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. white syrup
- 2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 6 to 7 qt. popcorn
Directions

1Mix first three ingredients (butter, syrup and sugar).

2Bring to a boil in pan for 6 minutes.

3Take off heat.

4Pour salt, soda and cream of tartar in at same time.

5Stir until foamy.

6Pour over popcorn.

7Mix and spread on cookie sheet or roast pan.

8Bake 1 hour at 200°.

9Stir occasionally.

10Pour out on brown paper bag. Let cool.

11Put in airtight container.
