Ingredients

  • 4 qt. popped corn
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions

    In saucepan, mix sugar, margarine, syrup and salt.

    Stir over medium heat until boiling.

    Continue boiling without stirring for 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and soda.

    Pour over popcorn.

    Stir to coat well.

    Bake in 250° oven for 1 hour. Stir several times during baking.

    Will keep several weeks, crisp, if stored in airtight container.
