- 10 c. popped popcorn
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Place popped popcorn in a large shallow roasting pan, popped kernels only.

2In a large heavy 1 1/2-quart saucepan, stir sugar, margarine and corn syrup together.

3Bring to a boil, stirring constantly over medium heat.

4Boil for 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and baking soda.

5Pour over popcorn, stirring to coat well.

6Bake at 250° for 10 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes.

7Do not overbake.

8Remove from oven, spoon popcorn onto a large piece of wax paper or aluminum foil. Break apart popcorn as it cools.
