- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. Kraft light caramels
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. melted margarine
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk in double boiler. Stir cake mix with 1/3 cup evaporated milk, margarine and nuts. Press 1/2 of cake mixture into greased 13 x 9-inch pan.

2Bake at 350° for 5 or 6 minutes.

3Take out of oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.

4Drizzle melted caramels on top and dot remaining dough on top of this (dough will be wet).

5Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

6Cool on rack and then refrigerate about 30 minutes until caramel sets.

7Cut into squares.
