- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 1 Pre baked pastry case
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 tbsp Melted butter
- 1 tbsp Plain flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tbsp Icing sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to moderate

2Seperate eggs, keeping whites and yolks in seperate bowls until needed

3Place sugar and flour in a saucepan.

4On low heat, mix to a paste with a little milk.

5Continue stirring and add butter, egg yolks and remaining milk

6Stir over low heat until caramel commences to thicken.

7Stir vanilla into mixture

8Place mixture into pastry case top with beaten egg whites and a little sugar

9Place in moderate oven for approx 20 mins until top has browned

10Prior to serving dust with sifted icing sugar.

11Serve with whipped cream or ice cream
